Pastor
Max Snook and his wife Donna have served at St. Helens Community Bible Church since 1983. In the early years Max worked full-time and preached each week. In 1993 Max became our full-time pastor and then in August of that year was accepted at Multnomah Biblical Seminary where he graduated in 1995 with a Master of Arts degree in Biblical Studies. Twice each week he brings SHCBC step by step into contact with the truth of the Word of God.
Elders and Deacons
Article 4 of the Constitution of St. Helens Community Bible Church states:
"This local church will be served according to the two Biblical positions of Elder and Deacon. These men are to serve in accordance with the pattern set by our Lord. They shall direct the congregation to the Lord Jesus Christ by instruction from the Word and as examples of the mind of Christ." (Phil. 2:1-8, Matt. 11:29).
Elders
"Elders shall act as 'Shepherds' of this local church, with the primary responsibility of overseeing the spiritual well being of the church and its people." (Article 4.A.2)
Bill Craft
Bill and his wife Lynda have served at St. Helens Community Bible Church since its inception in 1983. In fact, SHCBC held its first meeting in their home, and Bill has served as an Elder off and on throughout the years. They have been married for over 40 years and are blessed with four children and eight grandchildren. Bill's favorite verse is Romans 8:28.
Deacons
"Deacons shall minister to the people of the St. Helens Community Bible Church with special concern for their physical needs, and shall administer the material and financial affairs of the church." (Article 4.B.2)
